Segment 1: The host introduces Camille

Host | Missy: Welcome to today’s Community AMA! Hi Camille, we’re happy to have you today. Please introduce and tell us more about yourself.

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: Good evening everyone. My name is Camille. I’m a co-founder and the head of BD at Ink Finance. Prior to Ink Finance, I served in a blockchain incubator called Longhash 2018. I am also a blockchain & fintech Youtuber. In 2020, I met Tony Tang and the rest of INK’s founders, and we started to work together; quickly soon thereafter the very first version of Ink Finance launched.

Segment 2: General questions

Host | Missy: 1. What is Ink Finance? Who are the team members of the project?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: Ink Finance is a one-stop, easy-to-use comprehensive DAO tool. We enable Metaverse and Gamefi ecosystems to establish governance economies, manage internal finance and connect with DeFi investors everywhere.

Our team consists of Tony Tang who is the founder and CEO of INK. Tony is a veteran Wall-Street veteran and fintech venture investor.

Our financial architect is Dan. Dan is an enterprise architect with a wealth of experience at many big financial institutions such as Fidelity & Pearson.

We also have an extremely strong team of developers who have extensive experience in developing layer one-public chain.

Host | Missy: 2. What institutional investments have Ink Finance received?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: We are nearly closing our second round of funding.

In our seed & anchor, round Ink Finance was backed by lead investor Republic Crypto & followed by DHVC, Axia8, Krypital group, GSR, Bella Protocol, Solv Protocol, Lucid Blue, LD capital, and Redline DAO.

In the current round, we are being backed by Alliance DAO, W3B, Draper Dragon Digital, Colony Labs, and Revere.

Since we are a multi-chain facility Layer 1 foundations like AvalanchesBlizzard and Polygon are our big investors & DAO users like Mirror world & Solv Protocol also have skin in the game with us too.

Host | Missy: 3. What advantages does Ink Finance have?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille:

  1. Dynamic Multichain operation: you govern on one chain and get liquidity on other chains.
  2. Comprehensive Protection for DAOs from sybil attack & whale manipulation: Ink Finance has various levels of ID verification. We work with Humanode and integrate with Twitter to make sure the key managers in your DAO are trustworthy. INK also incorporates a badge function which allows DAOs to manage the real players of their DAO, preventing malicious attacks from whales.
  3. Provision of efficient governance capital: INK allows DAOs to use their own token as its governing power and INK’s staking mechanism empowers the DAOs’ own token to gain more value while governing. In the same way, QUILL holders mutually benefit also.
  4. INK is a smart contract factory. DAOs, which are independently constructed, can operate smart contracts independently. This means each DAO will have its own unique sets of smart contracts. DAOs can also manage them under different regulatory environments too.
  5. Complete On-chain analytics and risk management. Most DAO tools provide proposals, votes, and maybe transaction services; but INK provides the DAO manager the ability to view all the analytics & feedback from DAO members. Most importantly, INK’s on-chain risk management can protect DAO members through strict risk management rules.

Host | Missy: 4. What problems does Ink Finance solve and what convenience does it bring to C-users?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: Ink Finance represents the 2nd generation of DAO tooling.

Looking back, what we see is that first-generation tools only support DAO proposing and voting. The question we had was what do we do after the vote? These first-generation tools might have to use extensions or plugins to execute their financial decisions or they may have to move into another DAO tool to complete transactions. INK does not have this dilemma.

What sets Ink Finance apart is we are set up as a one-stop-shop for DAOs.

INK is a professional tool for DeFi and fiscal duty;

🔹INK makes the DAO’s token usage efficient;

🔹INK establishes multichain reputation & taps DeFi liquidity;

🔹INK has a built-in governance integrity & protection against malicious attacks;

🔹INK enables DAOs to be adaptable to regulation.

To elaborate more beyond the basic voting function, INK enables DAOs to issue, settle, and clear financial products (or even securities). You can borrow money, raise funds, issue bonds and do all the financial activities via Ink Finance!

As a C-user, you can find various financial instruments and Defi products used by Metaverse, Gamefi, VC, angel investors, DeFi, and even crypto fund managers.

Ink Finance in short is a financial supermarket for C-users.

Host | Missy: 5. What is Ink Finance’s token economics? What are the tokens’ use case?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: The native token of Ink Finance is QUILL. It is a utility and a turn key for governance. Firstly, DAO admins need to acquire and stake QUILLs on behalf of their community in order to “turn on” the usage of INK’s facilities. If a DAO can’t stake QUILLs, it can use its own token to rent QUILLs. QUILL holders and DAO users share growth because both have mutual skin in the game.

Segment3: Questions picked from Twitter followers

💬Q: How many people are on your current team?

What are the main challenges in building an Ink finance exchange?

What are Ink Finance’s main goals and focus for the future?

What are your plans and accomplishments regarding compliance?

Can you give some information about security measures? @AfrianAriesndi

Speaker 🅥 | Camille:

We currently have about 20 people currently on our team.

INK is not an exchange but a financial supermarket for DAOs.

Our vision is to become a multichain DAO credit platform where investors can find the best DAOs & buy their NFT-backed financial products.

We are a template factory that caters to every type of regulatory-sensitive DAO requirement.

We believe that we have the most rigid and comprehensive governance integrity framework that guards against sybil attacks and bad actors.

💬Q: What is the most challenging for your project during the current bearish market? How does your team overcome it? @ibocrypto

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: The bear market is an opportunity because DAOs have to find innovative ways to raise funds, as the current financial environment currently does not allow them to easily sell their meta token. All we need to focus on is delivering our products & which will empower the top DAOs to acquire expansive bespoke financing.

💬Q: When will this fantastic project be launched and how to get the contract address? @SaheedTv

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: At the end of this month, our product will be on Avax, Ethereum, and Solana for the open beta test & by the end of September, we want to be on at least 5 EVM networks. At that time, you will be able to go into every single DAO and check every single contract address that we have manufactured.

💬Q: What are the top priorities for your project this year? What plans do you have for the development of this project? Being unique, what do you suggest for better gameplay? @yugooooooo_

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: We want integrated adoption amongst top-tier metaverse and gamefi DAOs and we aim to reach 1 million of their players by the end of the year. We would also like to help tap VC and venture capital to support their decentralization. At the end of this month, our product will be on Avax, Ethereum, and Solana for the open beta test; and by the end of September, we want to be on at least 5 more evm networks.

💬Q: The proposal function of Ink Finance seems to be aimed at B-end users. As a C-end user, I want to know how I can participate in Ink Finance? @Joined July 2020

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: Ink Finance is a DAO tool, but eventually, while DAOs are governing, it will be like a supermarket for C users; B-end users will be the suppliers, and C-end users will be able find the best products from INK.

💬Q: Almost every investor holds the token for the short-term without understanding the long-term value. So, how can you ensure for us that holding this token is more beneficial in the long term and what is your plan to increase the demand and scarcity of the token? @ranjan2022

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: This is a great question that hits at the core of QUILL tokenomics. QUILL is the turn-key for the entire process; any DAO that uses INK must either buy enough QUILL to stake or pay in their token to rent INK’s facilities. The more your DAO uses INK’s facilities, the less QUILL supply would be in circulation.

Segment4: Selected from live questions

💬Q1: Amazing! When will you launch the public sale?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: We are expecting to have regulated crowdfunding this September. Please follow our official accounts to keep updated, and you are also welcome to participate in INKER DAO’s events to get whitelisted. After crowdfunding, we plan to get listed in top-tier exchanges. But I cannot share more details other than this at this moment.

💬Q2: As we all know lately people’s trust in crypto has started to decline. How will the Ink Finance team provide guarantees for the security of this project to investors and the community?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: As I have mentioned earlier, we see this current declined market as an opportunity for us to have top-tier DAOs adopt and integrate with us. This helps us to grow. Infra projects are usually not an overnight blast-off when pursuing long-term booming success. Investors clearly understand this fact. If we take a look back into history, FTX, BlockFi, Moonpay, Solana, Aave, and Uniswap all started in 2017–2018 and eventually gleamed brightly in their grand entrance in 2021–2022. So I believe this decline is not a big issue from the perspective of real value investors.

💬Q3: What is the relationship between @InkerDAO and @InkFinance? Because I have seen InkerDAO holding Ink Finance’s community events?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: Many people have asked how to participate in public sales. As a DAO tool, we have built our very first DAO inside our own ecosystem, InkerDAO. It is a self-organized community that promotes Ink Finance. Community members who participate in InkerDAO events can earn INKR and join the INK Whitelist.

FYI, if anyone is interested in the events and wants to participate, please check www. inkerdao.xyz Participate and win some QUILL airdrops too.

💬Q4: Hi Ink Finance Team. Based on your project description, you’ve made a real breakthrough in crypto finance, which is cool! Can you explain to normal users how it works? And can you tell us more about how staking works in Ink Finance?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: Yes. Please check the C-users-related questions and my answers there.

💬Q5: What are the competitive advantages that you feel most confident about?

Speaker 🅥 | Camille: Actually there are a lot of advantages I want to brag about, but most of what we are proud of are the financial function. Web3 and blockchain are all about financial freedom and liquidity. We help DAOs and individuals find their needs through INK.
